Something To Love By

I love to find inspiring quotes and words to live by. This is something I read a while ago that I have hung onto. I thought I would pass it along.

Ten Ways to Love

1. Listen without interrupting. (Proverbs 18:13)

2. Speak without accusing. (James 1:19)

3. Give without sparing. (Proverbs 21:26)

4. Pray without ceasing. (Colossians 1:9)

5. Answer without arguing. (Proverbs 17:1)

6. Share without pretending. (Ephesians 4:15)

7. Enjoy without complaint. (Philippians 2:14)

8. Trust without wavering. (I Corinthians 13:7)

9. Forgive without punishing. (Colossians 3:13)

10. Promise without forgetting. (Proverbs 13:12)

This is something to keep in mind no matter who we are trying to love well. Whether that be a spouse, parent, sibling, etc.

I found myself getting so irritated last night at nothing really. I had to put myself to bed . . . really I did! Have you ever had one of those evenings. As I was laying there I tried to figure out what my problem was. I was not having very loving thoughts at all.

The list above is much easier to follow when we are feeling well and the person that is needing the love is someone we like. Too bad life isn't always like that.

I am reminded that if we just ask and trust that God will give us the strength we need to love well.

December Cara Box Reveal

I am late with my post, but I still wanted to complete it. I was away for the holidays and my package got lost in the mail. But I was so happy to finally get it. :)

I have had the best time participating in the Cara Box exchange that Kaitlyn over at Wifessionals organizes. (cara (car-rah) noun : beloved friend) It is a blast and you get to meet some amazing ladies.

The ladies I was teamed up with this month are Tavia over at Not Your Ordinary Smith and Amber at The Chickpea & Me. I was assigned to send a box to Tavia and Amber to me. It was wonderful getting to know both of these women this month. Even with all the hussle and bussle of the holidays we were able to make time to get to know one another.

What a blessing to be teamed up with two wonderdful ladies. In getting to know Amber I learned she is a military wife and I am getting ready to become one . . . so I have found comfort in meeting her and being able to ask some questions she has so graciously answered.

Tavia is such a sweet heart. We like a lot of the same books and she was a joy to email with.

December's theme was Holiday Sparkle. I love the goodies that Amber sent me! I was so excited to get my package. I have tried many times to upload a picture and it just will not let me.  So, better late than never.
